Press [Power]. Use the [Up and Down] arrow keys to set the desired temperature. Press the [Mode] key repeatedly until "Cool" mode is selected. If needed, press the [Fan] key on the remote or control panel to adjust fan speeds.

The humid air that is being exhausted may be too heavy to completely vent out. Finally, check the end of the hose and make certain that it is connected to the vent panel in the window securely, and the window is sealed properly.
